OUR women's sailor shirt
For more than 30 years, Le Minor has been knitting a love story with Japan, which has never wavered. This passion is so strong that for a while, our 100-year-old Breton brand was better known in the streets of Tokyo than in those of Lorient. The fruit of this love, a slew of women's sailors, reinterpret season after season the traditional sailor. Indeed, the marinières that Le Minor produces for Japan are cut in the traditional fabric, and adapted to the Japanese trends and morphologies, to compose resolutely modern clothes. While the sailor suit is more trendy than ever this summer, we will love the trendy reinterpretation of this timeless garment: the loose fit opts for comfort, the short sleeves and the drooping shoulders draw a feminine and modern silhouette.
Creation of our women's sailor shirt
What the Japanese come to Le Minor for is authentic manufacturing. So this sailor's jacket is made of our traditional carded cotton jersey. The fabric is made on our circular knitting machines in our own workshop in Guidel. We control all the manufacturing steps of the clothes we sell, which makes Le Minor one of the last manufacturing brands in France. A chest embroidery comes to sign this japanese sailor: it takes up our logo, which represents a stylized M topped by a traditional ermine, symbol of Brittany.
