The first hosiery workshop was founded in 1922, but the ‘Le Minor’ brand was born under this name in 1936 in Pont l'Abbé in Brittany, and its first ready-to-wear creation, in 1955, was a coat: the Kabig. The Kabig was the working garment of the seaweed harvesters, who gathered seaweed on the beach come rain or shine - hence the hand-warmer breast pocket and large hood. Le Minor is bringing it up to date.

The Kabig shares the same destiny as the navy jumpers and marinières that Le Minor has been producing for several decades, as workwear that has become a permanent fixture in fashion wardrobes. Le Minor revisits the world of sailors and their iconic garments: sailor jumper, commando jumper, marinière, Jacket and Kabig.

Quality manufacturing and an assertive fashion bias go hand in hand, as demonstrated by its collaboration with Courrèges back in the winter of 1975-1976. This range of coats, which is set to grow over the coming seasons, sets the cursor at the right level, between trend and tradition.
