If the first hosiery workshop was born in 1922, the brand "Le Minor" was born under this name in 1936 in Pont l'Abbé in Brittany, and its first ready-to-wear creation, in 1955, was a coat: the Kabig. The Kabig is the workwear of the seaweed gatherers, these workers of the sea collecting seaweed on the beach, rain or shine - hence the hand-warmer chest pocket and the large hood. The Minor brings it up to date.

The Kabig shares the same destiny as the marine sweaters and sailors' jackets that Le Minor has been producing for several decades. These work clothes have become part of the fashion wardrobe forever. Le Minor revisits the world of sailors and their emblematic garments: sailor sweaters, officer sweaters, sailors' jackets, or Kabig.

Quality manufacturing and a strong fashion bias are combined, as demonstrated by the collaboration with Courrèges in the winter of 1975-1976. This range of coats, which will increase in the coming seasons, places the cursor on the right level, between trend and tradition.
