MANUFACTURING AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
Most Le Minor clothing is manufactured in our workshops in Guidel, Brittany.
Our manufacturing process draws on time-honored expertise in knitting, cutting, sewing, and finishing.
However, some items and accessories are made outside of Guidel: the socks are produced by Atelier Broussaud in Haute-Vienne, the Pérégrine bandanas are made in Angers, and the stain remover stick is manufactured in Marseille by Savonnerie du Fer à Cheval.
Our workshop is located at the following address:
10 rue Nicolas Appert,
ZI des 5 Chemins,
56520 Guidel
Since 1922, Le Minor has been preserving craftsmanship in Brittany related to knitwear and marine apparel.
Knitting, cutting, sewing, and finishing are all carried out in our workshops with a particular focus on the quality and durability of our garments.
Yes. Le Minor has held the Living Heritage Company (EPV) designation since 2023.
This distinction recognizes French companies that demonstrate excellence in artisanal and industrial craftsmanship.
At Le Minor, we design clothing that’s built to last and be worn for a long time.
Our goal is simple: for your garment to last a lifetime.
This philosophy is reflected in our sustainable manufacturing practices, our commitment to repairing garments, and the development of a secondhand collection.
SECOND-HAND
Since 2019, Le Minor has been offering a selection of secondhand clothing.
We collect items from our brands, clean them, and repair them if necessary, then search our archives to date them before putting them back on sale.
These items are then regularly offered in our stores or on our website.
You can bring us a Le Minor garment that you no longer wear.
You can drop off the item directly at one of our stores or send it by mail.
The amount of the credit depends on how clean the returned item is.
It ranges from 10% to 30% of the item’s value, depending on its condition.
The store credit can be used in-store or on our website.
Secondhand items are examined, cleaned, and, when necessary, repaired before being put back on the market.
We also conduct research in our archives to date and document the pieces.
No. Secondhand items cannot be exchanged.
The second-hand initiative is part of Le Minor’s commitment to making clothing last as long as possible.
Making durable pieces, being able to repair them, and giving them a second life are three complementary aspects of this approach.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Proper care helps preserve your garment and extend its life.
On our website, you’ll find care instructions for our cotton T-shirts and striped tops, as well as a guide to caring for our wool knitwear.
If you have any specific questions, our customer service team can also provide personalized advice.
Pills can naturally form on wool clothing, especially in areas subject to friction.
They aren’t necessarily a sign of poor quality. You can gently remove them using a lint shaver.
For more tips, check out our guide to caring for Le Minor knits.
REPAIR
Yes. Le Minor offers a repair service designed to extend the life of its clothing.
Repair requests are processed in-store and then sent to our workshop in Guidel.
We accept repair requests for Le Minor brand clothing, subject to the condition of the items and the nature of the repairs needed.
The garment brought in for repair must be clean.
You can drop off your garment at one of our stores.
When you drop off your garment, our team will examine it with you to determine what repairs are needed.
The garment is then sent to our workshop in Guidel for further inspection and to prepare a quote, if necessary.
You will receive the estimate in writing before the repair is carried out. You may accept it, decline it, or accept only some of the proposed repairs.
The price depends on the type and number of repairs needed.
A quote is provided when the cost of the repair must be determined after inspecting the garment.
Any defects resulting from a manufacturing defect will not be charged.
Payment for the repair is due when you drop off the garment at the store.
We will provide you with an estimated repair time once we have accepted and assessed the garment.
Once the repair is complete and your garment has been returned to the store, our team will notify you when it is ready so you can come pick it up.
Yes. Clothing brought in for repair must be clean.
