Our revisit to the officer sweater
We've updated the officer's sweater, our signature knit. It has been modernized by rounding off the shoulder and elbow applications, and by giving it a "sporty" cut that's less fitted than the jersey regulation of the French Navy. Its "military" look has been softened by the removal of the epaulets, but it retains its robust appearance, a testament to the quality of our workmanship over the last century.
Creation of the revisited officer's sweater for men
The revisited officer's sweater for men, a masterpiece of Le Minor craftsmanship, is the fruit of a heritage of over four decades dedicated to tailoring for the French Navy. This knitwear, rich in meticulous detail, embodies the excellence of the textile know-how that our company strives to preserve in France.
The manufacture of this garment illustrates a perfect symbiosis between textile and knitwear. The yokes are assembled with millimetric precision using double-needle machines, perfectly following the structure of the knit. This technique requires know-how acquired over many years of practice.
As for the sweater's collar, this is the object of an exceptional remaillage technique: the stitch is delicately opened with a machine equipped with hundreds of needles, enabling the collar to be joined to the body of the sweater by inlay work directly into the stitch. This method ensures an impeccable finish and gives the garment remarkable strength. This level of craftsmanship has become rare and precious.
