Jane marinière inspired by the French Navy
The Jane marinière embodies the perfect blend of centuries-old Breton tradition and contemporary elegance. Made entirely in our Guidel workshop in Brittany, this piece perpetuates the unique know-how that Le Minor has been cultivating since 1922.
It's made from the same cotton as our traditional marinières, providing structure and durability. The navy stripes on a white background, a direct descendant of the designs created for the French Navy, are precisely spaced to respect traditional Breton codes.
The Jane marinière features two buttons on the left shoulder, reminiscent of a sailor's sweater but with a feminine touch. Its straight cut, carefully designed to sublimate the feminine silhouette, offers perfect ease without sacrificing elegance. Every detail testifies to the excellence of our craftsmanship: meticulous finishing, reinforced seams and dense jersey that retains its structure over time.
Its name pays tribute to Jane Birkin, the Franco-British icon who made the marinière a signature element of her style in the 60s and 70s, embodying that unique alliance between casualness and sophistication.
