Our new oversized marinière, knitted in raw cotton jersey from French mills, has been made in a refined and original khaki green colour that stands out from our classic navy blue models.
The cut of this knit has been revisited to give it a very boxy look: a square shape, dropped shoulders, a full bust and a slightly shorter length. The boat neck, emblematic of marinières, has been redesigned with a narrower opening to modernise the look.
Its weight is exceptional - around 380g/m2 - more akin to a lightweight sweatshirt than a t-shirt, whose uniqueness is enhanced by the use of an open-end yarn. The maintenance of this machine in our Guidel workshops, and the fabric produced from it, are part of the rare know-how preserved by Le Minor hosiery and have earned us the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label.
We designed it in exclusive collaboration with a pretty boutique in the centre of Rennes, run by Peter and his team: Flâneurs. This demanding fashion brand is based on quality selections and strong inspirations for Japanese brands and design.
