Be careful, this traditional sweater is worn very close to the body: it's tight-fitting. Designed not to interfere with sailors' maneuvers, it has retained this close-fitting cut for 100 years. - Our knitwear is machine washable: we recommend a cold wool cycle (or 20°C maximum) and a maximum 600 rpm spin.
- However, to make your knitwear last as long as possible, hand washing is recommended.

Our sailor sweater in virgin wool

The genuine sailor jumper has made Le Minor hosiery a success. In this women's model, it's available in yellow, to recall the shade worked in the 70s by our workshops, and offers a dynamism and originality that contrasts with traditional navy fashion. This essential garment never goes out of fashion: it's been made in the same way for over a hundred years - it's fitted, close to the body with its long cut - and is an absolute classic that every woman should have in her wardrobe.

Hand-knitted in Guidel, our sailor jumper has always been designed to be worn close to the body: originally, to keep sailors warm without hindering boat manoeuvres. That's why it's also known as the ‘sock jumper’: it's tight-fitting, and has been worn that way since its inception. Although its button placket is a Scottish innovation, our sailor jumper is worth enlisting the services of the oldest hosiery firm still operating in the Brittany region: Maison Le Minor, which dates back to 1922.
