A NATURAL INSULATING FIBER

At Le Minor, our main concern is to face the rigors of winter with elegance. Our products are exceptional because their raw materials are sourced from precious sources. We favor natural materials for their properties: wool naturally retains body heat and is an excellent thermal insulator.

Wool contains 80% of its weight in air, which makes it a light material. The temperature of the body warms the air in the fibers. Then, the wool releases this heat gradually and drapes you with a comforting second skin.

Choosing wool is to rediscover the contact with the natural material and nature itself.

VIRGIN WOOL

This is the traditional wool in which we feel in the presence of the true marine sweater. We are constantly updating it with seasonal colors. It comes from the first shearing of the sheep. It is an untreated and perfectly biodegradable material. Its particularity is to retain the heat by allowing the humidity to evaporate.

Its dry hand remains however very pleasant to wear. Our classic pieces like the officer sweater or the sailor sweater are made of this material. Their very tight knitting makes them almost waterproof, ideal to face the sea spray! We advise you to play with proportions and volumes by associating our 100% wool sweaters with more ample and fluid pieces.

MERINO WOOL

We are proud to work with this precious fiber to help you navigate the cold season. It comes from the down of merino sheep. This very fine down allows the material to be very flexible: the merino fiber is finer than a hair. Its comforting softness caresses and envelops you at the same time.

Its particularity is to be antibacterial, therefore, it does not retain odors. A simple airing in the open air is enough to sanitize it. Moreover, unlike virgin wool, it dries very quickly. Merino wool brings sensuality to our sock sweater. Playing on a contrast of a soft gray and a clear blue, it embodies the ultimate in elegance. You can wear it casually with jeans or look sophisticated with flannel pants.

WOOL BLEND

Some of our sweaters are made of a blend of merino wool and acrylic. The combination of these two materials allows us to make sweaters that are soft as a caress and firm at the same time. The current collection revisits the eternal sailor sweater with modern colors and the use of this wool blend. You can curl up in our yellow or green sweaters that stand out from the traditional navy style. Thus, you will be able to face life with an air of confidence that comes from those who know how to experiment!
