FRENCH SOCKS FOR A WARM WINTER

Le Minor is a specialist knitwear manufacturer whose integrated workshops have been running for 100 years. Our French know-how in knitwear is mainly applied to top garments: t-shirts, sailors sweaters, turtlenecks... But also to accessories: hats, and soon scarves.

For this fall-winter 2022 season, we wanted to complete our range to dress you with knits made in France from head to toe. However, if we knit in tubular in our own workshops, we are not equipped with "shoe" knitting machines. The diameter of our circular machines is indeed intended for the manufacture of the fabric of our marinières made in France.

So, as we know our know-how very well, we also know those of our colleagues and know how to work in a complementary way. So we went to meet Broussaud, in the Limousin region, a workshop that knits knitwear like us in France and whose knitting machines are complementary to ours. With them, we have created a small range of high quality socks that will dress you with softness and elegance. The know-how of this family workshop brings a solidity and a resistance to any test to these pairs of socks made in France.


The fruit of our collaboration with the Broussaud workshops, knitters of socks in Limousin, is this capsule of socks, available in ecru and navy blue and in two sizes (37/39 and 40/44). Made of cotton, they also have a small amount of elastane to adapt to the shape of your foot and add an extra touch of comfort.

Our fancy socks are just like the clothes we have been offering for 100 years: classic, timeless, with sometimes a touch of fantasy that highlights a know-how. We wanted to create a model of sober, plain socks, to which the knit stitch brings a delicate touch of fantasy and originality. This fancy stitch, guilloche, is reminiscent of the stitch game that we program on our knitting machines, to enhance our original creations, such as the fisherman sweater or the Norwegian turtleneck.
