Our trucker-neck sweater for men

Although absent from our rack in recent years, the zip-neck sweater is one of our classics. Its thick, solid navy blue knit with a simple construction ensures a referenced style. In reissuing this model, Le Minor wanted to update a sweater that originally evoked workwear.

Origin of our zip-neck sweater for men

The style of this sweater goes back to the 30's, concomitantly with the invention of the zipper. Before being adopted by truckers for its comfort and practicality - and to get this name, which will make history -, it is simply a sports sweater, especially for winter sports. Present on one of our old archive photos, the zip-neck sweater was very similar to the cut of the Le Minor sailor sweater before being readapted in a more blousy shape. This is the cut we chose for the reissue of our archival zip-neck sweater.
