Be careful, this traditional sweater is worn very close to the body: it's tight-fitting. Designed not to interfere with sailors' maneuvers, it has retained this close-fitting cut for 100 years. If you prefer a loose fit, opt for a ribbed sailor jumper (newport, fisherman's sweater...). Ladies, take your usual size. See our size chart for more information.

Care instructions:
- Our knitwear is machine-washable: we recommend a cold wool cycle (or 20°C maximum) and a maximum spin speed of 600 rpm.
- However, to make your knits last as long as possible, hand-washing is recommended.
- Do not use detergents
- Dry flat, do not tumble dry.
- Iron at 110°C maximum
- Professional care with normal water cycle

The Le Minor sailor jumper is the sweater of the year: born in the workshops of Le Minor hosiery, steeped in history since 1922, this timeless knit combines maritime tradition and exceptional craftsmanship. Our sailor jumper has remained unchanged since its creation - long cut, close-fitting, buttons on the shoulder. It's a must-have for every fashion-conscious woman. Originally, this knit was designed to warm sailors on ships - it has always been worn very close to the body, in a dense, comforting knit. That's why it's traditionally called the "sock sweater". Its Breton tradition - although the button placket originated in Scotland - makes this 100% virgin wool model, made in Guidel, Brittany, a real pleasure to wear. If you're hesitating between two sizes, choose the smaller one. If you're not comfortable with tight-fitting cuts, you'd be better off with our sailor jumper with more fullness and comfort: fisherman, Newport... or a slim, supple model in merino wool.
