Our sailor sweater in virgin wool
This real breton jumper for men in yellow is a re-edition of a color used in the 70's by the hosiery Le Minor. Since 1922, Le Minor hosiery has been producing these marine sweaters: first intended for Breton fishermen, who needed a real Breton sweater, it quickly seduced sailors and city dwellers. Yellow being in fashion at the moment, this model of real sailor's knit offers a very current version of our historical product.
Creation of our virgin wool sailor sweater
To make this men's breton sweater, Le Minor used a yellow virgin wool. This material offers warmth and comfort, while guaranteeing the style and fit of the real men's sailor jumper that Le Minor workshops have been making for almost 100 years. If this material is spun and dyed in the Vosges and then in the Pyrenees, all the rest of the manufacturing steps are done in Brittany: knitting, cutting, sewing, and finishing. The tight knit, the close fit and the traditional button placket make this garment an authentic Breton knit.
